Forum on implementation of MDG action plan for ethnic minorities opens

The event is organized by the National Assembly’s Ethnicity Council, the Government Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, the UNDP and the Irish Embassy to Vietnam. Danh Ut is Vice President of the National Assembly’s Ethnicity Council: “We need to identify our immediate tasks. We need to integrate MDG for ethnic minorities into national and local socio-economic development plans and action plans of ministries and sectors. To this end, it’s important to specify the goals in development plans. We also need to develop a mechanism to monitor the implementation of MDGs for ethnic minorities”.
