(VOVworld) - The Foundation for East Sea Studies, a non-profit social fund, made its debut in Hanoi on Thursday. The fund, which aims to promote East Sea-related research activities, will sponsor domestic and foreign scholars, students, individuals, and organizations in their research efforts, contributing to the protection of Vietnam’s sovereignty over its sea and islands and protecting peace and stability in the East Sea.
The foundation also serves as a channel for improving public awareness of the importance of safeguarding national sea and island sovereignty in accordance with Party and State policies. The foundation was an initiative of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
