All the fishermen who just arrived have been quarantined and are in stable health condition. The remaining 4 fishermen of the fishing boat in distress will be brought to the mainland later.

On Friday, the Vietnamese vessel, number QNg 90617 TS, with eight fishermen on board, was fishing near Phu Lam island when a China coast guard ship hit and sank it.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented the protest diplomatic note to a representative of the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi, asking the Chinese side to investigate the incident  and compensate for the losses of Vietnamese fishermen.
