A statement from the Basmanny District Court in Moscow indicated that all four suspects – Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, Shamsidin Fariduni, and Muhammadsobir Fayzov – could be sentenced to life imprisonment if found guilty. Mirzoyev has admitted to being a citizen of Tajikistan.
The four suspects are currently detained until May 22, but this period could be extended, depending on the trial date.
3 of the 4 suspects have pleaded guilty. Russian authorities say the number of murder victims is likely to be higher than the previously announced figure of 137 people.
