(VOVWORLD) - French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday urged a "rapid and coordinated" European response to terror attacks that have plagued the continent in recent years.

Such a response should focus on the development of a shared database, exchange of information, and stronger policies, he said, following a video conference with other EU leaders.
The online summit took place one week after an Islamic State adherent killed four people during a shooting rampage in Vienna, one month after an attack in a church in Nice, and the beheading of a teacher in a Paris suburb two weeks before that.
