(VOVworld) – French investigators definitively identified the debris found on Reunion Island last July as part of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

The Paris prosecutor’s office said Thursday that it is possible to state with certainty that the flaperon discovered on Reunion Island on July 29, 2015, matched that of Flight MH370. Investigators used maintenance records to match a serial number found on the wing part with the missing plane.
