Three helicopters, a CASA military air-freighter, and 3 motor boats of naval forces, gendarmes, and special task forces have been deployed to find wreckages that are possibly floating somewhere or under the seabed around the island.
The search with support of advanced technologies is conducted at the request of the French President and Prime Minister to meet investigation requirements.
The French state’s representative in Réunion, Dominique Sorain, told a press conference on Friday that the operations will run through Sunday aimed to make the first conclusion.
