(VOVworld) - The UK and France have agreed to join the US in providing humanitarian aids for Iraqi people affected by the conflicts there. British Foreign Secretary Phillip Hammond announced on Saturday that UK first batch of humanitarian aids for Iraq that include drinking water and tents will soon arrive in Iraq to help the Yazidi ethnic people stuck in the Sinjar mountainous areas in northwestern Iraq after the Islamic State gunmen threatened to kill them.

The same day, French president Francois Hollande emphasized France’s commitment to accompany Iraqi people to survive the devastating conflicts in this country while calling on the international community to take emergency steps to provide humanitarian aids for people of this Middle East country.
