Friendship order bestowed upon UN Resident Coordinator

(VOVworld) - Pratibha Mehta, the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Development Program Resident Representative in Vietnam, was presented a friendship order from the Vietnamese State in Hanoi on Tuesday for her contributions to development ties between Vietnam and the UN.

At the ceremony, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung commended Pratibha Mehta on her dedicated service over the past five years and wished the UN official all the best in her new mission in Tajikistan after leaving Vietnam. He said he is confident that she will make an active contribution to Tajikistan’s socio-economic development. He said he hopes Pratibha Mehta, as a friend of Vietnam, will continue her support for Vietnam.

Pratibha Mehta said she is honored to receive the friendship order and will continue to share her initiatives and experience with Vietnam.
