During the first Vietnam Chile Free Trade Council meeting in Santiago, both agreed on a new roadmap to facilitate bilateral trade, especially on human resource training, mining and salmon farming. They will negotiate inter-ministerial memoranda of understanding to ensure market access for agricultural products from both sides. Vietnam’s Free Trade Agreement with Chile took effect in January, the first between Vietnam and a Latin American country.
