(VOVworld) - Foreign leaders gathered in a cavernous mosque in the Saudi Arabian capital on Friday for the funeral of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi announced on the state television a seven-day mourning for King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the main sponsor for the administration of President Sisi after military overthrew Muslim President Morsi in 2013. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said that King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz is the model of a full responsible leader whose policies have contributed greatly to stability in the Middle East region. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has announced a three-day mourning for King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz. UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and leaders of many other countries including Indonesia, China, France, and the UK have sent their condolences to the Royal family, Government and people of Saudi Arabia.
