A summit of the Group of 20 (G20) developed and developing economies opens today/ on September 5 in the northern Russian city of Saint Petersburg under Russian Presidency.

G20 Summit opens in Saint Petersburg

The G20 summit focuses on fostering strong, sustainable and balanced growth, but it will also focus on tensions between Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his hope that the G20 leaders would have constructive talks.
