(VOVWORLD) - A gala night closing the Hue Festival Week 2022 was held at Da Vien islet, Thua Thien-Hue province on Thursday with 20 performances by Vietnamese and foreign art troupes.

The farewell gala was a thank you to visitors attending the festival this year. Huynh Tien Dat, director of the Hue Festival Center, said: “This Festival, which focuses on legacy traditional programs, attracted a lot of young people. We think this was the biggest success of the Festival”
This year, for the first time, the Hue Festival will continue throughout the year, with a Summer Festival, an Autumn Festival, and a Winter Festival.
Vice Chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue People's Committee and head of the Festival’s organizing committee Nguyen Thanh Binh said: “The programs, which blend traditional culture and modern culture, were well received by the public. This year’s festival activities were successful in getting the local community to participate.”
