Germany, China hold 7th high-level government consultations
(VOVWORLD) -Germany and China held the 7th high-level government consultations on Tuesday to discuss the fight against climate change, the promotion of bilateral relations, especially economic and trade relations, and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The consultation co-chaired by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Chinese Premier Li Qiang drew ministers from both countries.
At a press conference following the consultation, Mr. Scholz emphasized Berlin's interest in constructive cooperation with China and said Germany will not "separate" from the world's second largest economy, that the German government is committed to developing stable relations with China and further promoting the relationship. He called on China to use its influence with Russia to help end the Russia-Ukraine conflict and added that, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, China has a very special duty.
Premier Li Qiang said China attaches great importance to developing relations with Germany and Europe and influential powers like China and Germany should cooperate more closely.
