(VOVWORLD) - The global GDP will likely grow 2% if the coronavirus pandemic is over soon, researcher Bui Ngoc Son of Vietnam’s Institute of World Economics and Politics told VOV on Sunday.
Several international financial organizations have forecast that global GDP growth might fall 1.5% due to Covid-19.
“The situation in China has become more stable. I believe the pandemic will reach its peak soon. This means global GDP will lose 1% of growth, not 1.5%. If the GDP grew 3% last year, the world will lose about 880 billion USD this year, or 1%, according to my forecast,” Mr. Son said.
