Government holds April meeting
(VOVWORLD) - The government convened on Saturday its monthly meeting for April under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
At the meeting, cabinet members reviewed Vietnam’s socio-economic situation in April and discussed ways to overcome difficulties, create a boost for economic growth, and ensure social security. According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam witnessed positive changes in socio-economic development in April with CPI rising 0.31% against previous month. CPI in the first four months of this year increased 2.71% against the same period last year.
The Prime Minister asked for strengthened control of inflation, further support for the private sector, and stronger measures to disburse public investment capital.
