Government leaders inspect Dianmu storm response

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has called for high vigilance to counter storm Dianmu. During an inspection of Thanh Hoa on Friday, Mr. Dam asked the province to seriously implement the Prime Minister’s Notice to take proactive measures against storm Dianmu.

He underlined the need to keep a close watch on the movement of the storm and promptly inform locals concerning preventive measures, particularly removing people in flash flood and landslide prone areas to safety and seriously enforcing a ban on boats and ships sailing. The key task is to protect people’s lives and assets.

Mr. Dam asked the police and military forces to mobilize all necessary means of rescue while border guards from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa have coordinated to direct ships and fishermen to safety.

Also that day, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue inspected the preparations for storm Dianmu in Quang Yen commune, Quang Ninh province.

The Deputy PM asked military forces to stand ready around the clock to cope with the tropical storm and ensure the safety of locals and mitigate material losses. Mr. Hue also inspected the safety of the ongoing constructions and projects in Quang Ninh.
