Government monthly meeting for March: removing difficulties to stimulate production
(VOVworld)-Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired a government monthly meeting in Hanoi on Friday. Cabinet members said although consumer price index has dropped by 0.19% this month while the economy still faces stagnation in trading and mounting inventory.

Addressing the closing session, the Prime Minister called for drastic effort in macro economic stabilization to achieve an annual growth rate of 5.5% this year while boosting tax incentives to stimulate production and exports of Vietnamese key products. He said monetary policy must remain flexible to fuel production credit and lower interest rate, especially in agriculture. Economic restructuring must be accelerated while ministries and provinces should cooperate in price management to avoid negative impact on the economy. He urged ministries to pay more attention to social welfare and security.
