Government pledges stronger support for businesses
(VOVWORLD) - The 4th Conference of the Vietnam SMEs Association opened in Hanoi on Thursday. Over the past five years, the Association has made significant achievements. It now has 65,000 members which accounts for 97% of the businesses community and contributes 45% of national GDP, 30% of the state budget and 30% of the total export value.

In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said the government will increase support for Vietnamese businesses to help them grow further. He said: "We need to strengthen the application of science and technology and develop an innovation ecosystem, increase links between labor supply and demand, and improve the human resources. The government supports the development of the private sector, especially the technology manufacturing sector, information technology, and establish supply chains and value chains domestically and internationally."
At the Congress, a new Executive Board for the 2023-2028 term was elected and Mr. Nguyen Van Than was re-elected as President of the Association for the new tenure.
