(VOVWORLD) -The Government on Friday proposed that the National Assembly allow Ho Chi Minh City to continue implementing the Resolution on piloting specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City until December 31, 2023.

Presenting the Government's report at the National Assembly’s 4th session on Friday, Finance Minister Ho Duc Phoc said that the Resolution is a timely national decision, which is conducive for increasing autonomy, self-responsibility, dynamism and creativity, as well as promoting self-settlement of difficult problems for the City.
After five years of implementing the Resolution, the Ho Chi Minh City has achieved outstanding results, he added.
