(VOVworld) – The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in February rose 0.55%, the smallest increase recorded in 10 years. This was one of Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements in the first 2 months of this year, reported at the government’s monthly meeting on Friday.

Ministries and local agencies have realized resolutions issued by the National Assembly and the Government and the Prime Minister’s directives on price stabilization. The first two months saw a year-on-year increase in exports and agricultural and industrial production. The lives of social beneficiaries, the poor, and people in disadvantaged areas have improved both materially and spiritually.
A meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung proposed measures to get the economy on the right track while dealing with epidemics and addressing market difficulties.
