Although the socio-economic assessment in the two first months of this year was positive, the Prime Minister said there are still problems and challenges for the economy: the global trade war and Brexit, the drought in the South and Central Highlands, the African swine fever in nearly 20 provinces and the stagnation in business production in both state and private sectors.

Prime Minister Phuc instructed ministries and agencies to focus on solutions and take drastic and more consistent measures to overcome all obstacles to completing and exceeding the 2019 plan, and ensuring GDP growth.
