(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has requested localities to make strategic and focused investments to make three national target programs more effective.
He was speaking at a meeting on Thursday with 14 northern mid-land and mountainous provinces.
The Deputy PM, who is also head of the Central Steering Committee for National Target Programs, said localities should strive to fully disburse the funding transferred from 2022 to 2023 and at least 90% of the 2023 budget.
Since 2021, over 2.7 billion USD has been allocated to northern mid-land and mountainous provinces to carry out the three programs which focus on new-style rural area building, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority inhabited areas and mountainous regions.
