(VOVworld) – Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has expressed his wish to reach an acceptable agreement, despite its differences with Eurozone creditors over the new reform program, after which Athens may receive a disbursement worth 7 billion euros from the 240-billion-euro bailout package.

In his address at the congress’ Q&A on Monday, Tsipras said his government was looking for a proper deal with its Eurozone partners after Greece submitted a proposal including reform methods requiring additional 3 billion euros from the state sources of revenue but not cutting salaries or retirement pensions.
IMF and EU experts are considering the newly proposed reform measures in an attempt to persuade creditors to disburse loans worth 7.2 billion euros.
But at a press conference, EC spokesperson MArgaritis Schinas warned that the two sides hadn’t yet reached a consensus.
Eurozone officials are likely to convene a meeting this week to decide whether or not to have a conference with the participation of all finance ministers of the union.
