(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) presented President of the Global Ventures Incorporation (GVI) Bob Roberts with Vietnam’s Friendship Medal at a ceremony in Hanoi on Monday. VUFO President Vu Xuan Hong said the distinction honors Roberts’ contributions to boosting humanitarian aid and development support as well as friendship between Vietnam and the US. Since his first visit to Vietnam in 1995, Roberts has raised more than 3.5 million USD to help poor Vietnamese people through GVI projects on preferential credits, support for orphaned children, building clinics and schools, medical examinations and treatment, and English teaching.
