(VOVworld) – The Ha Long cherry blossom festival opened Thursday in Quang Ninh province under the theme “Peace – Prosperity– Co-operation and Development”.
The annual event is held by the Ha Long municipal People’s Committee and Japan’s Wanokai International Culture Association to promote friendship between Vietnamese and Japanese people.
500 cherry blossom branches from Japan are showcased at the festival.

The festival also features cultural exchanges, a fair with nearly 100 booths introducing food, tourism, cultural products, household appliances, and screenings of Japanese animation. The two countries’ businesses will gather at conferences to discuss healthcare, education, the environment, and agriculture.
