Ha Long International Passenger Port receives first 5-star cruise
(VOVWORLD) - A 5-star Royal Caribbean Cruise Liner with more than 3,000 passengers and crew members onboard docked at Ha Long International Passenger Port on Tuesday for tours of Ha Long Bay and tourist sites in Quang Ninh province.

The event marked a turning point in Quang Ninh’s tourism sector, especially since the port came into operation. Nguyen Duc Long, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, said: “The Ha Long International Passenger Port is expected to welcome more international passenger cruise ships. The port plays an important role in local socio-economic development. It was built within the timeframe of one year and has also become a tourist destination in Ha Long city.”
The Ha Long International Passenger Port is the first of its kind in Vietnam. With a total investment capital of 45 million USD, the port is designed to receive two large passenger ships carrying up to 8,500 passengers each, at once.
