(VOVWORLD) - The Prime Minister’s decision to establish Ha Tien border gate economic zone was announced at a ceremony in Ha Tien city on Friday.

Covering an area of 1,600 ha, the economic zone has functional areas including a non-tariff area, international border-gate, industrial zone, tourist area, administrative area, and residential area.
It is located on the other side of Prek Chach international border gate of Cambodia’s Kampot province.
Le Quoc Anh, Party Chief and Chairman of Ha Tien city People’s Committee, said the establishment of the Ha Tien border gate economic zone will bring great advantages to the city’s future development and attract more domestic and foreign investment thus ensuring the local socio-economic growth, security and defense.
