(VOVWORLD) - Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on Wednesday attended the conference to announce Hai Phong City’s socio-economic development tasks for 2024.

The city’s leaders said that Hai Phong has set high goals for socio-economic growth in the coming year such as expanding its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) from 11.5% to 12%, improving its industrial production index (IPP) by 15%, and increasing its total state budget collection to 4.35 billion USD, and its foreign investment from 2 to 2.5 billion USD.
The city has mapped out a number of key tasks and solutions to expand its usable economic space, while reforming its growth model. It plans to restructure its economy based on the three pillars of high-tech industry, seaport logistics, and tourism and trade.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, on behalf of the State and Government, awarded orders and certificates of merit to individuals and groups for their outstanding results in local revenue collection in recent years.
