(VOVworld) - The Republic of Haiti is keen to further strengthen bilateral relations with Vietnam across the board. Haiti President Joseph Michel Martelly made the statement while welcoming Vietnamese ambassador Duong Minh to the Republic of Haiti who presented his credentials on Saturday. The Haiti President spoke highly of the recent development of relations between the two countries. He praised the military-run telecom Viettel Group’s operation in the central African nation and hoped that there will be more Vietnamese businesses investing and promoting trade in areas of mutual strength.

Ambassador Minh asked the Haiti Government to offer favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses to promote investment and trade in Vietnam’s strong areas such as agriculture, telecommunications, construction and consumer goods production. The Vietnamese diplomat pledged his best efforts to forge friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two nations.
