(VOVworld)- Hamas militant group on Sunday accepted a UN request for a 24-hour ceasefire in Gaza, right after Israel’s announcement to resume its hostile acts in the Gaza Strip after one day being interrupted.  The ceasefire lasted 24 hours starting from 2pm Sunday until 21:00 GMT. The announcement was released as the Israeli army resumed its offensive in Gaza. At least 9 Palestinian civilians were killed just a few hours after Israel resumed the 20-day campaign to protect its border, bringing the death toll to more than 1000.
