(VOVWORLD) - On Friday, the United Nations (UN) said the continued escalation of hostilities in the occupied West Bank is “alarming & urgent”, especially concerning Israeli settlers’ violence against Palestinian in this area.

The UN human rights office of the high commissioner (OHCHR) spokesperson Elizabeth Throssell said the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, is in a state of emergency with at least 132 Palestinians, including 41 children, killed.
The same day, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) also called for an emergency funding of 1.2 billion USD to aid 2.7 million people, including the entire population of Gaza and 500,000 people in the West Bank.
