(VOVWORLD) -820 outstanding students were commended and awarded for their achievements in the 2023-2024 academic year at a ceremony in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Representing the capital city’s 2.3 million students, the awardees included students who excelled in their studies, extracurricular activities, Youth Union activities, and social work. Poor and ethnic minority students who achieved good academic results and spread good deeds throughout society were also honored.
Among those commended was Ha Duc Vuong from Chu Van An High School, who said: “At the recent National Excellent Student Contest, I won the second prize in Geography. I am happy and proud of my achievement and for having been invited to attend the ceremony today.”
97 students who shined at national and international competitions were also presented with commendations from the Ministry of Education and Training.
