(VOVworld) - The 3rd Hanoi International Film Festival opened in Hanoi on Sunday under the theme “Cinema – Integration and Sustainable Development”.

130 films from 32 countries and territories were selected for screening at the festival. Two Vietnamese feature films, 12 short films, and 24 films in other categories will be screened at the festival.
Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao addressed the opening ceremony:“The Hanoi International Film Festival honors outstanding cinematic products that have great humanity and artistic values. It will also promote Vietnam’s land and people through images of Hanoi, a city with thousand years of culture, beautiful landscapes, and hospitable people.’

During the 5-day event, the organizers will present awards for Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Feature Film Director, Best Short Film Director, Best Actor and Actress in Leading Roles.
