Hanoi seeks stronger partnership with Australia’s Gold Coast city
(VOVWORLD) -Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hanoi Tran Sy Thanh on Tuesday received visiting Mayor of Gold Coast city in Australia’s Queensland State, Tom Tate, who suggested a number of areas with good potential for bilateral cooperation such as education, environment and tourism.

Tate said that his visit aims to foster the partnership between the two cities after a long period of COVID-19, opening up long-term collaboration opportunities between the two sides.
The Gold Coast mayor particularly called for more cultural exchanges to promote mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples, creating an important premise for the growth of the bilateral ties.
Mr. Thanh highly valued the developing partnership between Vietnam and Australia as well as Hanoi’s relations with some Australian states. He underlined Hanoi’s interest in expanding cooperation with other Australian localities, including Gold Coast city.
The Hanoi leader briefed the guest on the capital city’s goal of building a livable city, affirming that the city hopes to facilitate connections with other cities in the world.
