The event is scheduled to get underway on Tran Van Lai street of Nam Tu Liem district in Hanoi, with the area also dubbed as the Korean quarter in the capital as a lot of Koreans both live and work locally.

Visitors to the event can experience an array of activities featuring the RoK’s culture at more than 100 stalls, including some from the Embassy of the RoK in Vietnam, the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam, the Korean Cultural Center, Woori Bank, and Samsung. The stalls will feature various cuisine, traditional costumes, and numerous products from enterprises of the two countries.

They will have the opportunity to sample typical Korean dishes such as kimchi, noodles, fish cake, and grilled meat, all of which are hugely popular items among many young Vietnamese people.

Along with gastronomy, some highlights of the festival include performances by Vietnamese singers, as well as Korean music and dance, all of which will help tourists to experience the space of the culture of both countries.

Chang Eun Sook, President of the Korean Association in Hanoi, said when arriving at the event visitors will be able to try on the traditional Korean costume Hanbok, play folk games, and pose for check-in photos, with these activities expected to bring excitement to both locals and tourists.

The 2022 edition of the festival attracted tens of thousands of people from the two countries, with organizers offering the opportunity for further exchanges to boost friendship and mutual understanding in this year’s event.
