(VOVWORLD) - The Hanoi Department of Transport plans to pilot a public bicycle service in some inner districts.

In the first phase, about 1,000 bikes and electric bikes will be available for rent at 70 to 80 points in Ba Dinh, Tay Ho, Dong Da, Ha Dong, and Thanh Xuan district and around stations of the Cat Linh-Ha Dong metro line from 2022 to 2023.
In the second phase which will be implemented from 2023 to 2024, the service will be expanded to surrounding districts with 3,000 bikes to be arranged at 350 points.
