Hanoi’s Old Quarter host series of cultural events to mark National Reunification Day
(VOVWORLD) - An array of cultural and art activities are taking place in Hanoi’s popular Old Quarter to mark 47 years of national reunification and May Day.

A highlight of the program is an exhibition of musical instruments made Dao Xa craft village in Hanoi. Tran Thi Thuy Lan is deputy head of the Hoan Kiem lake and Old Quarter management board told VOV, "The craft of making musical instruments has been around in Dao Xa for more than 200 years.
"In addition to displaying their products, we have invited Dao Xa artisans to the exhibition to showcase the manufacturing process so people will better understand and join hands to preserve our traditional crafts."
There are also a display of 60 photos featuring traditional Vietnamese music and musicians and an exhibit of items and documents relating to Hang Buom, one of Hanoi’s most iconic streets. Hang Buom was known for the trading of boat components and parts.
The cultural and art program in the Old Quarter will run until the end of next month.
