HCM city boosts cooperation with Singapore, Austria
(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City hopes to cooperate with Singapore in promoting start-ups, high-quality human resource training, and logistics, said Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem.

At a reception on Wednesday for Chee Hong Tat, Senior Minister of State at the Singaporean Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Education, Mr. Liem said that a high-ranking delegation from Ho Chi Minh City will visit Singapore this year to boost bilateral cooperation. He added Ho Chi Minh City is committed to improving its investment environment, creating favorable conditions, and protecting the rights and interests of Singaporean investors.
In related news, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen held a meeting with an Austrian delegation led by Harald Mahrer, President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. Mr. Tuyen said he hopes that the visit and the opening of a representative office of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Ho Chi Minh City will boost cooperation. Ho Chi Minh City and Austria share interests and should promote cooperation, he said, adding that the city encourages Austrian enterprises to participate projects to build smart urban areas, treat medical waste, and deal with flooding and traffic congestion.
