HCM City learns from Israel’s smart city building experience
(VOVWORLD) - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan met with Mayor of Tel Aviv Ron Huldai in Tel Aviv on Tuesday to discuss cooperation, in developing a smart city, high technology, and start-up ecosystem.

Mr. Nhan, on a working visit to Israel, said Ho Chi Minh City is interested in developing a knowledge-based economy and green growth based on technology, innovation, and start-ups, adding that Ho Chi Minh city wants to learn from Tel Aviv’s experience in this field.
Mr. Huldai said Tel Aviv is now one of the smartest cities in the world thanks to a data system open to the public, a hi-tech administration, and a people-centered services sector. He said Tel Aviv is ready to cooperate with Ho Chi Minh City in creating start-up incubators and sharing experience in smart city building. He invited Ho Chi Minh City to attend the next innovation week in Tel Aviv.
