HCM city to hosts massive culinary festival to mark National Reunification Day
(VOVWORLD) - 149 traditional cakes from across Vietnam will be introduced at a large-scale culinary festival to be held at the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens in HCM city from April 26 to May 1to mark National Reunification Day (April 30).

Vu Thi Huong Giang, Director of the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens told a press conference on Friday that the festival will be arranged into 3 areas: Hue - Saigon - Hanoi.
"As the theme of the festival is 'National Reunification’, the dishes on display must mirror the characteristics of each region. Artisans will make cakes on the spot and introduce them to visitors,” said Giang.

On this occasion, the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens are leering many new programs, such as feeding animals and dental check-ups and bathing for elephants and hippos.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to interact with deer and enjoy more than 1,000 rare specimens at a freshly-opened museum there.
