HCMC, northeastern provinces boost tourism cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - Representatives from Ho Chi Minh City and northeastern provinces gathered in Ha Long City on Friday to discuss tourism cooperation and development until 2025. They agreed to share information to optimize natural tourism resources, cultural and historical heritages, craft villages and cuisine of the northeastern provinces to boost tourism.

Nguyen Thanh Phong, chairman of HCMC People’s Committee, said, “The conference is to boost the tourism development link between Ho Chi Minh City and northeastern provinces. It helps us better understand the potential, advantages and development orientations of each locality. We’ll exchange experiences in state management of tourism, efficient ways to fully tap the potential and strength of each locality, thus making tourism Vietnam’s spearhead economic sector.”
A number of agreements on tourism development cooperation were signed on the occasion.
