(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Health yesterday hosted a seminar on a plan to provide health insurance coverage to Vietnam’s entire population by 2015. Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said the implementation of universal health insurance creates a new mechanism to ensure the people’s access to basic health care services regardless of their ability to pay. She said the government will provide necessary financial support for poor households. Minister Tien said the involvement of more poor people requires an interdisciplinary collaboration in implementing health care policies.
