(VOVWORLD) - The Hezbollah force in Lebanon announced Thursday that it launched a series of rockets into the northern region of Israel in response to Israeli airstrikes that targeted the village of Deir Kifa in South Lebanon and killed a member of Hezbollah.

The Israeli army press said Israeli soldiers are continuing military operations in Rafah and central Gaza and reported that Hamas commander Ahmed Al-Sawarka was killed in an airstrike in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun.
Since the Hamas-Israel conflict broke out on October 7, 2023, Hezbollah has conducted attacks on Israeli bases to show support for the Palestinian people.
The Israeli army has conducted air strikes targeting Hezbollah positions in Lebanese territory.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned Wednesday that he will wage "unlimited" war if Israel increases military operations targeting his force.
