The tribute paying and memorial services will begin at 7am on Monday. Mr. Vinh will be buried at Thien Duc cemetery in Phu Tho province in the afternoon the same day.

General Vinh was a member of the Party Central Committee for two tenures and was awarded with many high distinctions of the Party and State.

In May this year he was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun by the Japanese government, honoring his contributions to defense cooperation between the two countries.
