At a workshop to implement a program to enhance HIV/AIDS prevention and control in the Greater Mekong subregion in Hanoi on Wednesday, the participants said that the program was being implemented to fulfill the Millennium Development Goals and prevent and control the spreading of the epidemic by expanding qualified services to the most vulnerable groups of people with HIV in the provinces the program covers.
The program is being implemented between 2013 and 2017 in 15 border provinces. It aims to improve the management of HIV/AIDS prevention and control programs at central, provincial and district levels as well as promote regional cooperation with those countries that share Vietnam’s borders.
