Ho Chi Minh City and UN Development Program increase cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City wants the UN Development Program (UNDP) to support its public administrative reforms, climate change response, and startup development programs.

At a meeting with UN Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Kamal Malhotra in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said he hopes UNDP in Vietnam will conduct more practical action programs to help Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, address development challenges. Mr. Nhan asked the two sides to share experience in effective budgeting for localities with different level of productivity and development and in administrative reforms.
Mr. Malhotra said the UNDP wants to discuss with Ho Chi Minh City future cooperation programs focused on creative development, boosting competitiveness, and natural disaster management.
