(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh City is keen on boosting links with Indian localities, especially in the areas of trade, investment, service, and tourism.

Le Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, made the statement at Tuesday’s reception for visiting Indian President Pranab Mukherjee. Hai expressed his hope that Mukherjee will support the city’s efforts and said Ho Chi Minh City will do its utmost to realize co-operation agreements to enhance the Vietnam-India bi-lateral strategic partnership.
Mukherjee said that now is a good time to strengthen bi-lateral relations, especially between Ho Chi Minh City and Indian localities.During his trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Mukherjee visited the War Remnants Museum and met with the city’s Indian business community.
