Ho Chi Minh City seeks to improve post-COVID-19 competitiveness
(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City needs to change operation and management and especially outline solutions to support private businesses and attract more investment as the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.

That is one of the highlights of Friday’s debate at the 20th session of the 9th People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City.
Participants highlighted the importance of supporting businesses to access capital and furthering administrative reform and managing land to increase the city's competitiveness.
Deputy Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy proposed a general stimulus package focusing on services or tourism, saying: "Once we can attract tourists, restaurants, food and beverage sector will develop, leading to the growth of other industries.”
Participants recommended that the municipal administration analyze the city’s Competitiveness Index towards improving management and resolving pending issues.
