Highlighting the mutually beneficial bond between Vietnam and the European country, Cang said his city looks forward to establishing a Netherlands’ university in a bid to strengthen bilateral educational ties. The southern economic and cultural hub also wants to expand the affiliation with Emmen City in logistics, tourism, and high-tech agriculture, among others. Emmen Mayor Cees Biji, who leads the visiting delegation, said his visit is to seek partnerships, particularly in education and logistics.
Earlier, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and the Netherlands’ Stenden University signed a pact on coordinating logistics research with the involvement of both nations’ enterprises. The joint study is expected to facilitate the transport of Vietnamese goods to Europe through Amsterdam and Rotterdam ports of the Netherlands, and Germany’s Port of Hamburg.
